Win Better

"You can't win, unless, you learn how to lose." - Kareem Abdul Jabbar

This insightful quote from Kareem Abdul Jabbar reminds us that failure is a crucial part of the journey to success. It’s through losses that we gain valuable lessons, understanding our weaknesses and learning how to improve. Remember, losing isn’t the end—it’s the stepping stone to winning. Reflect on each loss and embrace each loss as an opportunity for growth, and victory will follow.

**ACTION STEP**
Time: 15 minutes
Materials: Pen & Paper

- Procedure -
1st 5 minutes: Sit in a quiet place, set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes and place it on the other side of the room. Start to think about and write down everything that went wrong in your last loss. DON’T STOP UNTIL THE TIMER GOES OFF!

2nd 5 minutes: Reset the timer, and start to think about and write down everything that went well during your last loss. DON’T STOP UNTIL THE TIMER GOES OFF!

Last 5 minutes: Write down actionable steps you can take to correct the mishaps in your last loss.

SHORT EXAMPLE:
WRONG: Last game I threw two turnovers on post entries.
RIGHT: Whenever I got a paint touch I was able to get an assist to teammates from making the defense collapse.
ACTION STEP: I will work on using a shot fake or pass fake before throwing entry passes and throwing passes from better angles.

This is a super simple exercise with a massive upside to it.
